Member Education Programmes

Fairheads has a member centric approach to pension administration as we believe that the Fund is in place to serve the long-term needs of the member and hence the member being a critical stakeholder.

Fairheads gives its Members free member education and access to information via member web portal. Fairheads finds this important because an informed Member can only mean better decision making for members as far as social, economic, health, financial and geographical retirement issues are concerned.

Onboarding

Once Fairheads is appointed, Fairheads will conduct training sessions in order to introduce Fairheads to members and to use the opportunity to remind the members of the Fund’s objectives and operations.

When a Fund has new employees who are eligible to join the Fund, Fairheads conducts virtual induction training for members to understand the fund’s operations from the onset.

Withdrawal

Fairheads is committed to providing members with timely information from the outset and actively encourages members to maintain their compliance with the Botswana Unified Revenue Services (BURS), thereby facilitating a seamless withdrawal process.

Members are also informed of the withdrawal options available during group member education sessions and also upon the member leaving the Fund.

Retirement

Fairheads affords members within a year of retirement one-on-one counselling sessions. The retirement counselling sessions cover at a personal level the members financial, social, economic, health, and geographical aspects.

Group retirement counselling sessions are conducted every year for members who are within 10 years to retirement.
